Husky Park, Wheeling, IL

Husky Park covers 36 acres at 925 N. Elmhurst Road in Wheeling and serves as a central green space for the village. Its paved 1.2-mile loop trail is used for walking, jogging, and cycling, while the surrounding open fields accommodate soccer, baseball, and youth football leagues. Two large parking areas, restrooms, and a concession stand support organized events and daily use. A playground with swings, slides, and climbing structures sits adjacent to the main shelter, which includes picnic tables and electric outlets for group gatherings. Mature trees line the northern edge of the park, providing shade along the trail and a buffer from nearby roads. The park’s location, one block south of Dundee Road, places it within a short drive of the Wheeling Metra station, several grocery stores, and the public library on Wolf Road.
