Ishnala Park, Orland Park, IL

Ishnala Park spans 60 acres in central Orland Park and features a 1.8-mile paved loop trail that circles the park’s central lake, providing a flat, stroller- and bike-friendly route used by residents for daily exercise. The trail connects to two playgrounds—one with modern climbing structures and one with swings—and to two reservable picnic shelters equipped with grills and electrical outlets. Anglers with valid Illinois fishing licenses can access the lake’s piers for catch-and-release bass and bluegill. A lighted baseball field and two full-size soccer fields sit at the park’s southern end, adjacent to ample parking and restrooms. Just north of the park entrance, Ishnala Drive links directly to 143rd Street, placing the park 1.5 miles from the Orland Square Mall and 0.7 miles from the Cook County Forest Preserve’s Saganashkee Slough trailhead, allowing residents to combine local park visits with longer regional outings without driving.
