Ishnala Woods Park spans 55 acres of preserved woodland and wetland in southwest Orland Park. A 1.3-mile paved loop trail circles the park’s central pond, where anglers can fish for largemouth bass and bluegill from two floating docks. Separate crushed-stone paths wind through oak and hickory groves, connecting to the village’s 8-mile Centennial Trail system for longer bicycle or walking routes. Picnic shelters, playground equipment, and a sand-volleyball court sit near the main parking lot off 143rd Street, while a smaller lot at the park’s east end provides direct trail access. Restrooms and drinking fountains operate seasonally. The park lies within a mile of the Orland Square Mall retail corridor and Metra’s Southwest Service station, placing daily errands and commuter rail within a short drive or bike ride.
