Johnson Park in Elk Grove Village spans 40 acres of open space with a central lake and 1.5 miles of paved trails that connect to the larger Busse Woods trail system. The park includes four lighted tennis courts, two baseball diamonds, a playground with separate toddler and youth areas, and a 10,000-square-foot skate park built in 2018. Anglers can access fishing piers on both sides of the lake, which is stocked annually by the Illinois Department of Natural Resources. Picnic shelters with grills and restrooms sit near the parking lots, and the park hosts seasonal youth sports leagues through the Elk Grove Park District. The site is bordered by residential streets and sits less than a mile from the Jane Addams Memorial Tollway entrance, providing direct access to O’Hare Airport and downtown Chicago.
