Kehoe Park, St. Charles, IL

Kehoe Park spans 52 acres in southwest St. Charles and centers on a 14-acre lake stocked with bass, bluegill, and catfish. Anglers access the water from two fishing piers, while a separate swimming beach operates Memorial Day through Labor Day under lifeguard supervision. A 1.8-mile paved loop trail circles the shoreline and connects to the larger Fox River Trail, allowing cyclists and runners to travel from the park into downtown St. Charles without crossing major roads. Picnic shelters, charcoal grills, and a reservable lodge accommodate family gatherings, and two playgrounds with separate equipment for ages 2–5 and 5–12 sit near the parking lots. Open turf fields host pick-up soccer and Frisbee, while a fenced dog park provides separate zones for small and large breeds. The park lies three miles west of the Metra station and is bordered by residential neighborhoods, placing groceries, pharmacies, and restaurants within a five-minute drive.
