Kiwanis Park sits on the southeast edge of Yorkville, adjacent to the Fox River and the 12-mile Fox River Trail. The 38-acre site includes two lighted ball fields, two tennis courts, a playground with safety surfacing, and a paved parking lot that also serves trail users. A 0.8-mile loop path circles the park and links directly to the regional trail, allowing residents to reach downtown Yorkville’s shops and restaurants on foot or by bicycle. Mature oak and maple trees line the riverbank, providing shade for picnicking at the shelter house, which has electrical service and restrooms. The park’s river access also includes a small canoe/kayak launch, and fishing is permitted from the shoreline. Because the park is maintained by the Yorkville Parks and Recreation Department, grounds and facilities are inspected and mowed on a regular schedule, keeping the grounds in consistent condition throughout the year.
