Krug Park spans 80 acres in Aurora’s north end, featuring a 1.2-mile paved loop that circles a 10-acre lake stocked for fishing. The park includes lighted tennis courts, a playground with rubberized surfacing, two baseball diamonds with dugouts, and a reservable picnic shelter equipped with grills and restrooms. A separate 0.3-mile crushed-stone path leads through a wooded section that borders Indian Creek, providing a quieter walking option. The park connects directly to the Fox River Trail via a short spur at the southwest corner, allowing cyclists and runners to reach downtown Aurora or the DuPage River Trail without using streets. A municipal pool and fitness center sit across the road, and several grocery stores and restaurants are located within a half-mile drive.
