Lewis Park, Tinley Park, IL

Lewis Park covers 30 acres along 167th Street in Tinley Park and includes a 1.2-mile paved loop trail used by residents for walking, jogging, and cycling. The trail connects directly to the Old Plank Road Trail, allowing extended routes toward Frankfort and Joliet without crossing major roads. The park also contains two lighted baseball diamonds, four tennis courts, a playground with updated safety surfacing, and a picnic shelter with electrical service and restrooms. A nine-hole disc golf course winds through wooded sections that retain much of the original oak-hickory canopy. The park is adjacent to Tinley Park High School and the Tinley Park Public Library, and it sits less than one mile from Interstate 80, giving residents quick access to shopping centers along Harlem Avenue and to Metra’s Rock Island District line at the 80th Avenue station.
