Liberty Park in Hanover Park covers 60 acres and includes a 1.5-mile paved trail that loops through open fields and tree lines. The trail connects directly to the Hanover Park Forest Preserve, allowing residents to extend their walks or bike rides without driving. Inside the park, visitors find four lighted tennis courts, two full-size baseball diamonds, a skate park, and a playground with separate areas for younger and older children. The park district operates an aquatic center on site with a zero-depth entry pool and two water slides that operate Memorial Day through Labor Day. A large picnic shelter with restrooms and electrical outlets is available by reservation, and several smaller grills are scattered near the shelter for drop-in use. The park sits less than a mile from the Hanover Park Metra station on the Milwaukee District-West line, and Route 59 provides quick access to I-390 and shopping centers along Barrington Road.
