Lions Park, Buffalo Grove, IL

Lions Park covers 27 acres in central Buffalo Grove and is bordered by Dundee Road and the Des Plaines River Trail. The park features two lighted tennis courts, four baseball/softball diamonds with fenced outfields, a playground equipped with climbing structures and swings, and two picnic shelters with grills and restrooms. A paved loop path circles the park perimeter, connecting directly to the regional Des Plaines River Trail for walking, jogging, and cycling. Open turf areas accommodate informal sports and kite flying. Mature trees line the northern edge, providing shade along the trail and near the shelters. The park is less than a half-mile from the Buffalo Grove Metra station and within two miles of both the Buffalo Grove Public Library and the village’s aquatic center. Street parking is available on adjacent residential blocks, and the park is served by Pace bus routes 272 and 272X.
