Maramech Forest Preserve covers 1,146 acres in Plano, Illinois, and includes the Fox River Trail, a crushed-limestone path that runs for several miles along the Fox River. The trail connects to other regional routes, allowing residents to bike, walk, or jog without driving. Two canoe launches inside the preserve provide direct river access for paddlers. The preserve also features an archery range and a dog exercise area, both open year-round. Its central location places it less than five miles from Plano’s schools, grocery stores, and the Metra Union Pacific Line station, so homeowners can reach daily errands or commute to Chicago without leaving the immediate area.
