Meadows Park, Streamwood, IL

Meadows Park occupies 30 acres in central Streamwood and includes two lighted baseball fields, a football field, and four tennis courts. A 1.2-mile paved loop circles the park perimeter, connecting to the 4.5-mile East Avenue Trail that leads to Hoosier Grove Park and the Elgin–Schaumburg Trail system. Visitors can fish in a 3-acre stocked pond, play on three age-specific playgrounds, or picnic at six covered shelters with adjacent grills. The park also houses the Streamwood Park District headquarters, an indoor recreation center with a gymnasium and fitness room, and an outdoor aquatic center open Memorial Day through Labor Day. A small arboretum along the east edge contains labeled native trees and seasonal plantings. The park sits two blocks from Route 19 (Irving Park Road), providing direct access to grocery stores, restaurants, and the Metra Milwaukee District West line at the Hanover Park–Bartlett station six minutes away by car.
