Mertz Memorial Park sits on 13 acres at 601 North Warwick Avenue in Westmont. The park includes a lighted baseball diamond, two tennis courts, a basketball court, and a playground with climbing structures and swings. A 0.6-mile paved loop trail circles the open fields and connects to the 1.9-mile Westmont Prairie Path segment, which links to the larger Illinois Prairie Path network. Picnic shelters, grills, and restrooms are available near the parking lot off Warwick Avenue. Mature oak and maple trees line the perimeter, and the grounds are bordered by residential streets on three sides. The park is three blocks from the Westmont Metra station and two blocks from the Westmont Public Library and downtown shops along Cass Avenue.
