Millennium Park in Elgin provides 133 acres of recreational space along the Fox River. The park includes 4.5 miles of paved trails for walking, running, and cycling, connecting to the larger Fox River Trail system. Two playgrounds with age-appropriate equipment serve different age groups, while the splash pad operates seasonally from Memorial Day through Labor Day. Sports facilities include six lighted tennis courts, four pickleball courts, and multiple baseball and soccer fields. The dog park is divided into separate areas for small and large dogs with separate entrances. Fishing is permitted along the riverbank with an Illinois fishing license. Picnic shelters accommodate groups up to 100 people and can be reserved through the park district. The park sits adjacent to the Elgin Public Library and within three miles of downtown Elgin's restaurants and shops. Parking is available in multiple lots throughout the park, with additional street parking along the perimeter.
