Millennium Park spans 126 acres along the north shore of Fox Lake and includes a 2½-mile paved trail that connects to the regional Lake County Forest Preserve network. Residents use the trail for walking, jogging, and cycling, with direct lake access at two designated points. The park contains a 24-slip boat launch, two fishing piers, and a 40-slip transient dock. A 9-hole disc golf course winds through restored prairie and oak woodland, while three picnic shelters with grills are available by reservation. The park also features a playground with separate toddler and school-age equipment, a sand volleyball court, and restrooms open year-round. From the shoreline, visitors have unobstructed views of the Chain O’Lakes, and the adjacent 55-acre wetland supports seasonal birding. The park lies within a five-minute drive of downtown Fox Lake’s Metra station, grocery stores, and restaurants, providing convenient access to both recreation and daily services.
