Molly’s Pond in Grayslake covers about 25 acres and is ringed by a paved walking path that links to the larger Grayslake trail network. The water is stocked annually with largemouth bass and bluegill, drawing local anglers who fish from the two public piers or from small, non-motorized boats. A playground and picnic shelter sit on the northwest shore, and restrooms are open from April through October. In winter the pond freezes for ice skating when conditions permit. The surrounding open space includes native prairie plantings that attract migratory birds, and the pond is less than a mile from downtown Grayslake’s Metra station, grocery stores, and the Lake County Forest Preserve headquarters.
