Newcastle Park, Roselle, IL

Newcastle Park spans 27 acres at the center of Roselle and serves residents with organized fields and open space. The park includes two lighted baseball diamonds, two lighted tennis courts, a basketball court, and a playground with separate climbing and swing areas. A paved loop trail of approximately three-quarters of a mile circles the grounds, connecting to the Springbrook Nature Center and the town’s larger network of bike paths. Picnic shelters with grills are available by reservation, and the park’s two retention ponds attract waterfowl during migration seasons. Restrooms and a concession building operate during scheduled sports seasons. The park sits within one mile of Roselle’s Metra station and the Route 20 retail corridor, providing direct access to both commuter rail and everyday shopping without leaving the village limits.
