Oak Ridge Park spans 67 acres in Lindenhurst and includes a 1.8-mile paved loop trail that connects to the regional Des Plaines River Trail. The park features two lighted baseball/softball fields, six lighted tennis courts, a playground with separate equipment for ages 2–5 and 5–12, and a picnic shelter with grills and restrooms. A 22-acre restored oak woodland with interpretive signage and a short self-guided nature walk lies at the park’s southeast corner. Two fishing ponds stocked annually by the Lake County Forest Preserve District are accessible from the main trail. The park is less than a quarter-mile from downtown Lindenhurst shops and restaurants along Grand Avenue and sits one mile from the Lindenhurst Metra station on the North Central Service line, providing direct service to Chicago’s Union Station.
