Old Tavern Park spans 60 acres along the East Branch of the DuPage River in Lisle. The park features 3.2 miles of paved multi-use trails that connect to the larger Illinois Prairie Path system. A 12-acre pond supports fishing and non-motorized boating, while a separate 2-acre fishing pond is stocked seasonally by the Lisle Park District. The park includes two playgrounds, six tennis courts, four baseball diamonds, and a 28-acre off-leash dog area divided into large and small dog sections. A 1.8-mile nature trail winds through restored prairie and woodland areas with labeled plant species. The park's location provides direct access to the Lisle Recreation Center and is 1.2 miles from downtown Lisle's Metra station. Parking areas accommodate 185 vehicles across three lots, and the park operates daily from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m.
