Olson Park occupies 54 acres at the southern edge of Woodstock and provides direct access to the Prairie Path trail system. The park features a 1.8-mile paved loop suitable for walking, jogging, and cycling, plus a separate 0.6-mile crushed-stone spur that connects to the 26-mile Old Plank Road Trail. Two playgrounds with modern equipment, a sand volleyball court, six lighted tennis courts, and three baseball diamonds with dugouts are maintained by the Woodstock Park District. A 12-acre wetland area supports seasonal birding, and the northern boundary is bordered by 40 acres of restored tallgrass prairie that the McHenry County Conservation District manages.
