Patti Stryker Park occupies 15 acres along the Des Plaines River in Deerfield, giving residents direct access to 2.5 miles of paved trail that connects to the larger Des Plaines River Trail system. The park features two lighted tennis courts, a playground with rubberized surfacing, and two full-size baseball diamonds used by local youth leagues. A 1-acre off-leash dog area is fenced and includes separate sections for small and large dogs, along with water stations and waste-bag dispensers. Picnic shelters equipped with grills and electrical outlets can be reserved through the Park District, and restrooms are open from April through October. Mature oak and hickory trees provide shade along the riverbank, while the open central lawn accommodates informal field sports. The park lies two blocks from the Metra Milwaukee District North Line station, five minutes by car from the I-94 corridor, and within a quarter-mile of two grocery stores and a public library branch.
