Prairie Meadows Park, West Dundee, IL
Prairie Meadows Park in West Dundee spans 54 acres of open space with a 1.8-mile paved multi-use trail that connects to the Fox River Trail system. The park includes three baseball/softball fields, two soccer fields, and a playground with separate areas for ages 2–5 and 5–12. A 30,000-square-foot skate park and two lighted tennis courts are also on site. Picnic shelters with electricity and restrooms are available for reservation, and the park offers a dog park with separate sections for large and small dogs. Native prairie plantings border the fields and trails, and the site sits less than a mile from downtown West Dundee, where residents have access to restaurants, retail, and the public library. The park is maintained by the Dundee Township Park District and is open daily from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m.
