Prairie Trail Park, Willowbrook, IL

Prairie Trail Park sits on 17 acres of open space along the DuPage River in Willowbrook, with a paved 1.2-mile trail that connects to the larger Salt Creek Greenway. The park includes a playground, two full-size baseball fields, four lighted tennis courts, and a fishing pond stocked by the Illinois Department of Natural Resources. Picnic shelters with grills and restrooms are available for reservation through the Willowbrook Park District. Mature trees line the riverbank and provide shade along the trail, while the adjacent 40-acre wetland area supports seasonal bird migration. The park is located less than a half-mile from the Willowbrook Town Center retail corridor, which includes a grocery store, pharmacy, and several restaurants. On-street parking is available along Prairie Trail Drive, and the main entrance is accessible from Clarendon Hills Road.
