Prairie Trails Park, Bolingbrook, IL

Prairie Trails Park covers 61 acres of open space in southwest Bolingbrook, anchored by a 1.5-mile paved loop trail that connects to the larger DuPage River Trail system. The park features two baseball diamonds, six lighted tennis courts, two playgrounds, a skate park, and a 14,000-square-foot indoor recreation facility with a gymnasium, fitness room, and multi-purpose meeting spaces. A fishing pond stocked with bluegill and largemouth bass sits near the east entrance, while restored tallgrass prairie and wetland areas occupy the western third of the site. The park’s location places it within two miles of the Promenade Bolingbrook retail center and less than three miles from Interstate 55, giving residents direct access to regional shopping corridors and commuter routes. Evening lighting on the main loop allows year-round use for walking and cycling, and adjacent parking lots accommodate more than 300 vehicles.
