Prinz Beach Park occupies a compact stretch of Lake Michigan shoreline on Chicago’s North Side, between Pratt and Touhy Avenues. A 0.6-mile paved lakefront path runs the length of the park, connecting directly to the larger lakefront trail system that extends south to Lincoln Park and north to Evanston. Two playgrounds, a sand volleyball court, and a seasonal beach house with restrooms serve daily users. The swimming beach is open Memorial Day through Labor Day, with lifeguards on duty and a designated dog-friendly section during off-hours. Open turf areas host informal soccer and picnics, while benches along the breakwater provide unobstructed views of the downtown skyline. The park sits three blocks east of Sheridan Road, giving residents quick access to CTA bus routes and the nearby Loyola Red Line station for commutes downtown.
