Proksa Park spans 28 acres in Berwyn and includes a 1.2-mile paved trail that loops around athletic fields, playgrounds, and a lagoon. Residents can use four lighted tennis courts, two baseball diamonds, a disc golf course, and an outdoor fitness area with equipment stations. The park also has a nature area with native plantings and a small wetland boardwalk that supports local bird species. Picnic shelters, restrooms, and drinking fountains are spaced along the trail. The park sits within two blocks of the Metra BNSF line and is bordered by residential streets that connect directly to downtown Berwyn’s shops and restaurants. During summer months the park district schedules youth sports leagues and adult fitness classes that use the same fields and courts available to the public after hours.
