Prospect Meadows Park, Mount Prospect, IL

Prospect Meadows Park sits along the Des Plaines River in Mount Prospect and spans more than 80 acres of open space and wooded areas. A paved multi-use trail runs through the park and connects to the regional Des Plaines River Trail, allowing residents to walk, run, or bike several miles without leaving town. The park contains two baseball diamonds, four lighted tennis courts, a playground, and two picnic shelters equipped with grills and restrooms. A nine-hole disc-golf course winds through the tree line, and a fishing pier extends over the river for catch-and-release angling. The site is less than a quarter-mile from the Mount Prospect Public Library and the downtown Metra station, providing quick access to both recreational reading programs and commuter rail service to downtown Chicago.
