Rauhoff Park, Tinley Park, IL

Rauhoff Park covers 28 acres at 173rd Street and 80th Avenue in Tinley Park. Its paved walking path forms a loop around the park’s open fields and connects to the Old Plank Road Trail, giving residents a direct route for biking or running that extends several miles beyond park boundaries. Two playgrounds with age-appropriate equipment sit near the main parking area, and a separate splash pad operates from late May through early September. The park also includes six lighted tennis courts, four pickleball courts, and two baseball diamonds used by Tinley Park youth leagues. A small pond stocked for catch-and-release fishing is bordered by benches and a short boardwalk. Restrooms and drinking fountains are located at the main shelter, which can be reserved for private events. The park is less than a mile from Interstate 80, and several grocery stores and restaurants are within a five-minute drive, allowing residents to combine outdoor activities with everyday errands without traveling far from the neighborhood.
