Recreation Park in Arlington Heights spans 101 acres and includes a 1.8-mile paved loop trail used by residents for walking, jogging, and cycling. The park contains lighted tennis courts, a skate park, multiple baseball and soccer fields, and two playgrounds. A 10,000-square-foot community recreation building houses an indoor gymnasium and fitness room. Lake Arlington, a 50-acre reservoir adjacent to the park, offers non-motorized boating and fishing from a public pier. Native prairie plantings and mature trees line portions of the trail, and the park is maintained by the Arlington Heights Park District.
