River Run Park, Naperville, IL

River Run Park spans 57 acres in southwest Naperville and serves as the central recreation hub for surrounding neighborhoods. The park features two lighted baseball/softball fields, four lighted tennis courts, two full-court basketball courts, and a skate park. A 2.6-mile paved loop trail circles the park and connects to the DuPage River Trail system, providing direct access for cyclists and runners. Picnic shelters with grills, restrooms, and a playground with separate areas for younger and older children are clustered near the parking lots. The DuPage River forms the park’s western boundary, lined with mature trees that create shade along the water’s edge. River Run Library sits adjacent to the park entrance, and the DuPage Children’s Museum and downtown Naperville are a short drive north via Route 59. Street parking and two large lots accommodate visitors during peak hours.
