River Run Preserve North, Naperville, IL

River Run Preserve North occupies 120 acres of preserved open space in northwest Naperville, bounded by 95th Street and the DuPage River. The site contains 2.3 miles of maintained limestone trails that connect to the existing Riverwalk network, allowing residents to walk or bicycle to downtown Naperville without crossing major roadways. A 12-acre fishing lake stocked with bass and bluegill is encircled by a flat, ADA-accessible path and furnished with three fishing piers. The preserve also features two playgrounds, six lighted tennis courts, two sand volleyball courts, and a 4,800-square-foot recreation building with restrooms and changing areas. Native prairie and wetland plantings border the river corridor, providing habitat for migratory birds and seasonal color. The property lies within School District 204 and is less than three miles from the I-88 interchange, placing commuters within a 35-minute drive of downtown Chicago via Metra or expressway.
