Rolling Hills Park, Buffalo Grove, IL

Rolling Hills Park spans 22 acres of open space in Buffalo Grove and includes a playground, two tennis courts, and a 0.8-mile paved loop trail that connects to the village’s larger network of bike paths. The park’s central pond supports seasonal fishing and attracts migratory waterfowl, while the surrounding lawn areas host youth soccer and lacrosse practices through the Park District. Mature trees line the northern edge, providing shade for picnickers and a buffer from nearby roads. A small picnic shelter with restrooms and drinking fountains sits adjacent to the parking lot, which also serves as a trailhead for commuters heading south toward the Des Plaines River Trail. The park is located less than a mile from both the Metra Milwaukee District North Line station and the Buffalo Grove Town Center retail corridor, giving residents convenient access to downtown Chicago as well as daily shopping needs.
