Round Hill Park sits on the eastern edge of Fox Lake, offering direct access to a 1.3-mile paved loop that circles the park’s central meadow and connects to the regional trail system. The trail surface is asphalt with gentle grades, suitable for walking, jogging, or cycling. Two picnic shelters with electrical outlets, restrooms, and drinking fountains are located near the parking lot, while a separate playground area contains modern climbing structures and swings on engineered wood fiber surfacing. A small fishing pond stocked by the Illinois Department of Natural Resources is open year-round, and a public boat launch on Fox Lake itself is less than a quarter-mile from the park entrance via a marked sidewalk. The park is bordered by mature oak and hickory trees that provide shade along the northern edge of the meadow. Street parking is supplemented by two paved lots, and the site is lit until 10 p.m. daily. The Fox Lake Public Library and the Metra Milwaukee District North station are both within a ten-minute drive, providing convenient access to downtown Chicago.
