Saddle Oaks Park occupies a wooded corner of Cary’s northwest side, bordered by Foxford Hills Golf Club and the Fox River. A 0.8-mile crushed-granite loop winds through oak savanna and prairie plantings, and a spur connects directly to the 40-mile Fox River Trail. Two playgrounds, one designed for ages two to five and another for five to twelve, sit near a shaded picnic shelter and an ADA-accessible restroom building. A fenced dog run with separate small- and large-dog sections occupies the park’s southern edge, while a baseball/softball diamond and two lighted tennis courts serve organized leagues and casual play. Open turf fields host youth soccer on weekends, and a small parking lot keeps most vehicle traffic at the perimeter. The combination of maintained natural areas, connected trail access, and active recreation facilities gives residents convenient outdoor options without leaving Cary.
