Salt Creek Park, Elk Grove Village, IL

Salt Creek Park covers 70 acres in Elk Grove Village and includes a 1.8-mile paved loop trail that connects to the larger Salt Creek Trail system. The trail runs beside Salt Creek, passing through prairie grasses and wetland edges that support seasonal bird activity. The park provides lighted tennis courts, a playground, and a large open field used for casual sports. Picnic shelters and restrooms are located near the main parking area, which is accessed from Biesterfield Road. The park’s central location places it within two miles of the Elk Grove Village Public Library, the local Metra station, and several retail centers along Higgins Road. Its flat terrain and continuous trail surface make it suitable for walking, jogging, and cycling year-round.
