Salt Creek Park, Elmhurst, IL

Salt Creek Park spans 36 acres along the DuPage River in Elmhurst, with a 1.1-mile paved trail that connects to the larger Salt Creek Greenway Trail system. The park includes four lighted tennis courts, two playgrounds, a sand volleyball court, and a sled hill for winter use. A fishing pier provides access to the river, and the park’s open fields accommodate informal sports and picnics. Mature trees line much of the shoreline, offering shade along the trail and screening views of nearby residential streets. The park sits less than a mile from the Elmhurst Metra station and downtown shops, and the adjacent Salt Creek Forest Preserve adds another 90 acres of natural area reachable by foot or bicycle.
