Sauganash Trail Park occupies a wooded corridor along the North Branch of the Chicago River in the Sauganash neighborhood. A 0.6-mile paved path runs its length, connecting to the larger North Branch Trail system and giving residents direct access for jogging, cycling, or walking to nearby Forest Preserves. The park includes a fenced playground with modern equipment, two lighted tennis courts, and a small shelter with picnic tables. Mature oak and hickory trees line the riverbank, providing shade and seasonal color while the water draws occasional herons and ducks. Street parking borders the park on both sides, and several bus routes stop within two blocks. A public library branch and two grocery stores sit within a 10-minute walk, and the Metra Milwaukee District North line at Edgebrook Station is roughly one mile south.
