Spring Lake Forest Preserve covers 228 acres in Barrington Hills, Illinois, and is managed by the Lake County Forest Preserves. A 2.6-mile paved multi-use trail loops around Spring Lake, supporting walking, jogging, bicycling, and cross-country skiing. Fishing is permitted on the 48-acre lake, which also attracts waterfowl and other wildlife. Picnic shelters and restrooms are available near the main parking area on Hart Road. The preserve borders the Cuba Marsh Forest Preserve, allowing users to extend their routes along additional trails. Its location, roughly five miles from the Barrington Metra station and near Route 59, places it within a short drive of grocery stores, restaurants, and schools in the surrounding villages.
