Spring Lake Park covers 75 acres in northeast Aurora and centers on a 38-acre lake that is stocked annually with trout, bass, and bluegill. A 2.2-mile paved loop trail circles the water and connects to the Fox River Trail, allowing residents to reach downtown Aurora by bicycle in roughly 15 minutes. Two fishing piers, a public boat launch limited to non-motorized craft, and three reservable picnic shelters with grills provide day-use options. The park also includes two playgrounds, a sand volleyball court, and a disc-golf course with 18 holes. Mature oak and hickory stands along the shoreline create shaded stretches of trail and open views across the water. Restrooms and drinking fountains are located at both the north and south parking lots, and the park is served by Pace bus route 802. The DuPage County Forest Preserve District maintains the grounds, ensuring consistent upkeep of turf, restrooms, and trail surfaces year-round.
