Stephen R. Keay Nature Preserve occupies 27 acres along the North Shore Channel in Wilmette, providing residents with direct access to three miles of multi-use trails suitable for walking, jogging, and cycling. The preserve features a 0.7-mile loop trail with observation decks overlooking wetland areas that support seasonal bird migration. A dedicated parking area at the Old Glenview Road entrance includes a shelter with restrooms and drinking fountains. The preserve connects to the Green Bay Trail, allowing continuous travel south into Evanston or north toward the Skokie Lagoons.
