Stoneybrook Park, Algonquin, IL

Stoneybrook Park spans 47 acres in western Algonquin and includes a 1.8-mile paved loop trail that connects to the 2.5-mile Randall Road Bike Path. The park contains a 10-acre fishing pond stocked by the Illinois Department of Natural Resources, a playground with separate areas for ages 2–5 and 5–12, and six lighted tennis courts available for public use. Picnic shelters with grills and restrooms accommodate groups up to 50 people. A 25-acre restored prairie section supports native plant species and provides habitat for local wildlife. The park sits less than one mile from the Algonquin Public Library and the Algonquin Commons shopping center, and is a five-minute drive from the Randall Road corridor, which contains major retailers and restaurants. Access to Interstate 90 is approximately four miles east via Algonquin Road.
