Sunflower Park, Yorkville, IL

Sunflower Park in Yorkville covers 28 acres along the Fox River and includes more than a mile of paved trails that connect to the Fox River Trail system. The park’s fishing pond is stocked annually, and a 0.3-mile boardwalk loops around it with benches and observation decks. Picnic shelters, a playground, and two lighted ball fields are clustered near the parking area, while the southern section remains largely wooded with native prairie plantings. Restrooms and drinking fountains are open year-round. The park sits less than a mile from downtown Yorkville’s shops and restaurants and is adjacent to the municipal pool and recreation center, giving residents quick access to both active recreation and daily errands without driving.
