Timber Creek Park, Libertyville, IL

Timber Creek Park spans 24 acres along the Des Plaines River in western Libertyville, offering residents direct river access and a network of crushed-stone trails that connect to the larger Des Plaines River Trail. The park includes two lighted baseball fields, a soccer field, two tennis courts, a playground, and a picnic shelter with restrooms. A fishing pier and canoe/kayak launch provide water-based recreation, while an observation deck overlooks wetland habitat. The site is bordered by single-family neighborhoods on three sides and sits less than a mile from downtown Libertyville via the Robert McClory Bike Path, giving residents quick access to shops, restaurants, and the Metra station without driving.
