Townline Park, Round Lake, IL

Townline Park spans 42 acres at 1780 N. Townline Road in Round Lake. The park features a 1.8-mile paved loop trail that connects to the regional Grant Woods Forest Preserve trail system. Two playgrounds, one with ADA-accessible equipment, serve different age groups, while four baseball/softball diamonds and two soccer fields host youth leagues and tournaments. A 12,000-square-foot skate park includes concrete bowls and street-style elements. Picnic shelters with grills, a fishing pier on a stocked pond, and restrooms are located near the parking lots. Mature oak and hickory trees line the open fields, providing shade along the trail and near the playgrounds. The park sits within a half-mile of Round Lake Metra station and within two miles of grocery stores and restaurants along Route 120, allowing residents to reach daily amenities on foot or by short drive.
