Village Green Park, Oswego, IL

Village Green Park occupies 32 acres in central Oswego and features a 1.2-mile paved loop trail that connects directly to the Oswegoland Park District’s larger path network. The park includes two playgrounds with equipment for different age groups, six lighted tennis courts, four pickleball courts, two full-size baseball fields, and a football/soccer field. A 3-acre fishing pond stocked annually by the Illinois Department of Natural Resources is surrounded by benches and a small picnic shelter. Mature oak and maple trees line the perimeter, providing shade along the trail and open green space for informal recreation. Restrooms and drinking fountains are located near the parking lot off Route 34, which offers direct access from downtown Oswego and the nearby commuter train station. The park’s location allows residents to reach grocery stores, restaurants, and the public library within a five-minute drive.
