Violet Patch Park spans 41 acres in Oswego and serves as a central outdoor destination for residents. A 1.2-mile paved loop trail circles the park perimeter, connecting to the Oswegoland Park District’s larger trail network and offering a flat, continuous route for walking, jogging, and cycling. The park includes two large picnic shelters with electricity, a playground with separate areas for younger and older children, and six lighted tennis courts. A fishing pond stocked annually by the Illinois Department of Natural Resources is accessible from a small dock, while open turf fields accommodate soccer and informal sports. Mature trees line the northern edge, providing shade along the trail and near the shelters.
