Vogelei Park, Hoffman Estates, IL

Vogelei Park covers 68 acres at the intersection of Freeman Road and Hassell Road in Hoffman Estates. The park features a 1.5-mile paved loop trail that circles a 12-acre lake stocked for catch-and-release fishing. Visitors can launch non-motorized boats from a small dock or launch kayaks and paddleboards from the designated shoreline. The park includes two playgrounds with age-appropriate equipment, six lighted tennis courts, four pickleball courts, and two sand volleyball courts. Picnic shelters with grills and restrooms are available by reservation, and an off-leash dog area provides separate sections for small and large dogs. The northern portion contains restored prairie with interpretive signage and a boardwalk over seasonal wetlands.
