Walnut Glen Park spans 35 acres in Glen Ellyn and includes a playground, two lighted baseball fields, a lighted soccer field, six lighted tennis courts, and a picnic shelter with restrooms. A 1.3-mile paved loop trail circles the park and connects to the Illinois Prairie Path, allowing residents to reach downtown Glen Ellyn or the Great Western Trail without driving. Mature oak and hickory trees shade the grounds, while open turf areas provide space for informal recreation. The park lies one-quarter mile north of Glen Ellyn’s central business district, placing shops, restaurants, the Metra Union Pacific West line station, and Glenbard West High School within a ten-minute walk or a three-minute drive.
