Picnic shelters, playgrounds with modern equipment, and restrooms are clustered near the main parking area on 55th Street. The park is bordered by residential streets on three sides, so most homes within a half-mile walk have direct pedestrian access through neighborhood sidewalks. Street parking along the east edge provides overflow capacity during organized events.
