Washington Terrace Park, Niles, IL

Washington Terrace Park in Niles, Illinois, is a 12-acre municipal park located at 6505 West Devon Avenue. The park includes a lighted baseball field, two lighted tennis courts, a playground with separate areas for different age groups, and a paved walking path that circles the perimeter. A picnic shelter with tables and grills is available for reservation through the Niles Park District. The park is bordered by residential streets on three sides and sits less than a quarter mile from the intersection of Milwaukee Avenue and Devon Avenue, where several grocery stores, pharmacies, and restaurants are located. The Des Plaines River Trail entrance is approximately one mile east, providing access to a regional paved trail system for bicycling and walking. Street parking is available along the adjacent residential blocks, and the park is served by Pace bus routes 226 and 240.
